Everyone always says, where did the year go? I have been thinking back over this past year and all the great people I’ve met, the cities and places I’ve traveled to, and the way our country has changed. I’m very thankful for these experiences and in spite of all the gloomy things I hear everyday, I am looking forward to and very optimistic about this next year. I am making plans for the new shows we will be taping, the appearances I have lined up, the special projects that we are working on that will be announced soon and getting back to the basics. When times get a little tough, like they have in the past and may this next year, we all need to look at the essentials in our lives and businesses and embrace them. It’s time to eliminate the bad habits and really focus.

This past week has been very special having my girls home, hanging out in their rooms, laughing together at our family meals and gatherings, and seeing them maturing into the young ladies they have become. And even spending a little time down at my little river cabin that I enjoy so much. Actually I am heading down there right now to think deep for a few hours and write out a plan for 2009. A plan for my business and me personally. Not a list of resolutions, but a list of thoughts, directions and goals I WILL accomplish!
