While mirrors can make a room appear larger, be careful not to date the room.  Look at current magazines for ideas.  Also, think about placement - don&#039;t place a mirror where you will find yourself looking at yourself when using the toilet.

Walk-in showers are great, but make sure you leave atleast one tub in your home or you&#039;ll risk lowering your property value.
Cultured marble may be inexpensive as a countertop and wall covering material - but it is not durable.  Culture marble carries no warrantee and is suseptible to yellowing, haze, and crazing.  If you are looking to get the most &quot;bang from your buck&quot;, and not just a quick fix, look into solid surface materials (like Corian, Swanstone or Meganite).  They are repairable, carry 10-year warrantees and are still less expensive that stone.
