You say "traditional people are'nt opened to it. I suggested that we paint our brick house to my husband. OMG! He was not Having anything to do with painting a maint. free brick house. Our house was built from a blue print that was featured in the Parade of Homes Magazine. The previous owner gave us a copy of the magazine issue. It was built in 1951. It's very dated. I'm lost as to what I can do to update the look. Having read your article I think that sanding the surface and the covering the area with a couple of brass kick plates might be a good preventative measure.
