Hi Danny, I've been watching the show & often times you tend to paint the "brick" on brick homes. You say "traditional people are'nt opened to it. I suggested that we paint our brick house to my husband. OMG! He was not Having anything to do with painting a maint. free brick house. Our house was built from a blue print that was featured in the Parade of Homes Magazine. The previous owner gave us a copy of the magazine issue. It was built in 1951. It's very dated. I'm lost as to what I can do to update the look. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

sincerly,

Our house is light beige with dark brown shutters and dark brown at the bottom of the house basement. What color would be right to paint our front door? It is dark brown now but I want a color that would invite people in.

Thank you

Dear Danny, we have a cedar bifold door which has been badly scratched at the bottom by pets. Having read your article I think that sanding the surface and the covering the area with a couple of brass kick plates might be a good preventative measure. However I'm having trouble locating sellers of brass kick plates, can you help? we live in Sydney.
