Have a Happy LED Holiday!
By: Amy HughesIn categories: Electrical & Lighting, Quick Picks, Safety & Security
![]()
LEDs are the perfect green choice for holiday lighting, since they generate little heat and use much less energy than traditional bulbs. LEDs are much more durable than regular bulbs and last up to 50 times longer. Their cool light won’t dry out Christmas trees, which reduces the chance of fire. It’s estimated that if every home in the U.S. switched to LED Christmas lights, it would save enough energy to heat 200,000 homes for a year.
