Kitchen Cabinet Chalkboard

Since it’s often the busiest room in the house, the kitchen is an ideal place to leave messages. But rather than plastering the walls with sticky notes, consider painting the inside of a cabinet door with chalkboard paint to turn it into a permanent, erasable message center. Start by masking off the area on the inside of the door with painter’s tape, then apply the chalkboard paint with a brush. Allow the paint to dry for 24 hours before applying a second coat. After drying for 24 more hours, the chalkboard is ready for use with regular chalk.

    On your program dealing with remodeling baths & showers, I would like to compliment you on your presentation. One item that most folks that remodel or those that are building new forget, is that someplace down the line they will require that these facilities be handicapped accessible, either for themselves or their parents. The use of 36″ wide doors and 42″ wide hallways are most desirable, which make the use of wheelchairs easier, along with wider space in the baths for movement of same. Also showers that do not have the stepup, where the wheelchair can be moved directly into the shower. Also the placing of grab bars,, which could be installed at a later date. Also the resetting of the tops of vanities and cabinets in the baths and kitchens, so that a wheelchair can get under them.
    I have had 10 years of dealing with my wife in a wheelchair and have found that the above hints are very helpful and should be incorporated into any remodel or new build.

    Chalkboard paint is really a fun way to decorate your kitchen. My kid also love to shows their creativity on it.
