Before you do those holiday paint  touch-ups identify all the areas that need attention with a brightly colored Post-It note…that way you won’t discover one you missed after you’ve put away the paint. Next, don’t go anywhere without a drop cloth…no one will notice how good the re-painted baseboard looks if there’s a stain on the carpet right next to it. If you’re covering up the kid’s art work on the walls be sure to use a stain blocking primer first… but choose one like Zinsser’s ODORLESS Oil-Base Stain Blocker. It’s a low VOC specialty primer for interior use that has even less odor than most water-base primers. That way, when your guests arrive they’ll be able to smell the turkey and not the new paint.
