I recently bought a new grill and couldn’t wait to get it home and put it together but as soon I got it out of the box my excitement was dulled because there were stickers plastered all over the stainless steel lid. These things are a pain to remove anytime but they’re especially hard to get off of raw metal like stainless steel or aluminum without leaving a sticky mess. To speed things up I decided to try a little heat to move the process along and it worked. I used a heat gun but a good hairdryer can also do the trick. Heating the whole sticker makes the adhesive that secures it more flexible. Once you peel up an edge you can apply more heat to the underside and slowly peel away the whole sticker without leaving a gooey mess.
