Mold can be found in your home… hidden or in plain sight… in your bathroom… on and inside of walls… in insulation, ceilings and carpets. Any porous material can absorb moisture and hold it until mold spores begin to grow. Why are we hearing more about mold these days? Because our homes are sealed more tightly than ever before. Our houses can become big petrie dishes with little air exchange. When small water leaks occur, wet insulation and wallboard can become a breeding ground for mold. So we have to reduce interior moisture and humidity levels with good ventilation – like an air-to-air exchanger. We have to watch for signs of mold, and respond quickly to correct and prevent it…. For the health of our home and our families.
