It’s no secret – I hate to paint , so I look for any advantage I can to make my job easier. Here’s one for those oddly shaped or curved surfaces that seem to take forever. You know what I mean… that wrought iron rail or the tapered balusters along the stairway. The trick is getting paint onto all those surfaces without dripping and splattering paint all over yourself, the walls and the floor. Brushes and rollers are primarily designed for flat surfaces so they’re not terribly efficient here…but your hand can adapt to these surfaces….First put a plastic bag or rubber glove over your hand…then get an old oven mitt or wool sock to put on top of it. Dip it into your paint and you have a custom made painting mitt….plus there are no brushes to clean.
