If replacing an ugly tub or sink isn’t in your budget you might want to consider a do-it-yourself refinishing kit. The traditional way to do this is with an epoxy formula but that requires acid cleaning and generates some strong fumes. Plus it requires a one week wait before use. Rust-oleum’s Tub and Tile Refinishing kit is an inexpensive option that comes in standard colors or white, almond and biscuit or is tint able using universal colors. There’s enough in the kit for 2-3 coats on a standard bathtub and, best of all, it doesn’t require muriatic acid for cleaning! The turn around time is better too, so you can use the bathtub just 3 days after you’ve painted it. The end result is a surface that’s smooth and glossy so it resembles porcelain or ceramic!
