Americans love their decks. And why shouldn’t they? They’re an extension of the house that let you enjoy the great outdoors. But with all the options out there, what can you use to build an environmentally friendly deck? The answer may be simpler than you think because it’s the most widely used material for building decks… Wood. Real wood is the only renewable building material. Not to mention that it’s easy to work with, durable, affordable and strong. Plus the production of wood decking has the least environmental impact of all the options available. So when you start planning that deck…don’t overlook the greenest solution, just because it isn’t new.
