This time of year most of us are relieved to be done with some of our weekly warm weather chore like mowing the grass. But if you forget to winterize your mower before parking it for the season you may pay the price with start up problems when spring rolls around.  Here are a few simple tips to prepare your mower for its long winter nap. First, completely drain the tank of fuel and then start the engine and run it until the carburetor is dry. If this isn’t possible at least add a fuel stabilizer to the tank to keep the gas from gumming up the works. Clean any debris out from under the deck and store the mower in a dry place for the winter. And remember: Use fresh gas when you start the engine next spring.
