Before you do those holiday paint touch-ups identify all the areas that need attention with a brightly colored Post-It note…that way you won’t discover one you missed after you’ve put away the paint. Next, don’t go anywhere without a drop cloth…no one will notice how good the re-painted baseboard looks if there’s a stain on the carpet right next to it. If you’re covering up the kid’s art work on the walls, be sure to use a stain blocking primer first… otherwise, their creativity won’t shine right through. If you choose a Low VOC formula primer you’ll have less of that annoying “paint” smell to deal with.… That way, when your guests arrive they’ll be able to smell the turkey and not the new paint.
