What parent or grandparent doesn’t treasure a handmade gift from a child at the holidays. Well here’s an idea from that will help anyone create a special holiday gift without spending a fortune. First, go on a scavenger hunt around the house or the thrift store to find several mismatched picture frames. The idea is to unify the group of frames with a holiday theme by painting them in coordinating, festive colors. Before you begin, remove the glass from the frames so you can sand the wood. Then wipe down the surface to remove the dust from sanding before painting. Spray paint is perfect for this job and that’s best done in a well-ventilated area, preferably outside. Then, add your favorite holiday photos and you have a great gift that will be remembered for years to come.
