In response to customer demand, the SawStop now offers its cutting-edge safety technology in a new 1.75 HP Professional Cabinet Saw that uses standard 120-volt power.

“For a variety of reasons, many aspiring cabinet saw users do not have access to 220-volt power,” explains Paul Carter, executive vice president of sales and marketing for SawStop. “Our customers want a professional grade cabinet saw. We are excited to deliver the finest 120-volt saw on the market.” SawStop is the world leader in table saw safety. The company’s saws are designed to minimize saw-related injuries and the costs associated with them.

The new 1.75 HP model features the same heavy-duty cast-iron table, steel cabinet, and cast-iron trunnion found on the 3.0 HP Professional Cabinet Saw and weighs over 360 pounds in its lightest configuration. Just like all SawStop models, this new saw is equipped with a safety system that detects when someone accidentally contacts the spinning saw blade, and then stops the blade in milliseconds.

SawStop introduced the 3.0 HP Professional Cabinet Saw in August 2009. A market success, the saw’s many honors include Wood magazine’s 2010 “Top Tool” designation. Wood editors praised many of the saw’s features, including the unique blade-brake safety system, outstanding dust collection, and tool-free, quick-release insert and riving knife.

Visit the Woodcraft website to find the Woodcraft store near you, and then stop by the store to learn more about this exciting new SawStop 1.75 HP Professional Cabinet Saw.
