After working in the construction industry for almost 20 years, I decided it was time to start incorporating green materials & products into my business. That’s when I started Green Renovations. So, for anyone living in the South Florida area who wants to green their home, whether it be a big or small green renovation, I can help. For more info go to http://www.greenrenovations.biz

For many years, a tip to save water has been to turn the faucet off while you are brushing your teeth.
A “larger waste of water” occurs while you are letting the hot water run until it becomes the temperature that you want.(shower,dishwasher,etc.)
I have been keeping empty milk jugs in the kitchen and bathroom sink cabinets and catching the water to use in my outdoor garden. In the “off season” the water can be used in your clothes washer.

Good point Elaine. Danny did a segment on getting hot water out of your faucet faster. If the hot water comes on quicker it helps a lot with this wasted water.
