I’ve decided to try my hand at nature photography. I have always been drawn to flowers, plants and landscaping and just love those coffee table books from great gardens around the world.

So, off I went in exploration of the perfect floral picture. Not sure of lighting and angles, I thought, what the heck, let my constricted thoughts go of what I felt was the “correct” way to take a picture and just see what happens.

Armed with only my Canon point and shoot, this is what I came up with . . . not too bad for my “first assignment”!
