Traditional concrete and asphalt surfaces that are used to pave streets, parking lots, and driveways cause rainwater to runoff into storm drains. This not only creates a barrier in the natural cycle of water being absorbed back into the ground, but the runoff can pollute nearby rivers, lakes, and streams.

The solution is to install pervious pavement, which provides a hard surface to drive on, but is porous enough to allow rainwater to pass through where it is absorbed by the soil below. Watch this video to find out more.
