In a cramped bathroom, finding a place for a wastebasket can be a real challenge.

One way to solve this problem is by mounting it on the inside of a cabinet door. This not only provides easy access, but hides the basket from view.

The hardware used to mount mirrors on the wall works perfectly to hold the basket in place while allowing it to be easily removed for emptying.

Start by screwing the brackets to the back of the cabinet door at the proper height and distance apart.

The rim of the basket then hooks onto the hardware.

Check to be sure that the screws for the hardware are the proper length and don’t come all the way through the door. Also, make sure to choose a wastebasket that will fit easily inside the cabinet.
