There’s no way around it, if you’re remodeling the inside of your home, you’re going to create dust. The secret is to contain the dust in the room you’re working on and keep it out of the rest of the house. To do this, cover all doorways in the room with sheets of thick (6 mil) plastic.

Instead of taping the plastic up, use a staple gun. To make it easy to take the plastic down without tearing it, tape a popsicle stick to the bottom of the staple gun to act as a spacer.

Staple the plastic up over the doorway.

The spacer will keep the staples from going all the way in, making them easy to remove later.
