We replaced the deteriorating wood shake siding on the Kuppersmith Project house with cypress wood shakes from the Southern Cypress Manufacturers Association.

While synthetic shakes are available in materials ranging from composite to fiber cement to vinyl, I felt that the look and feel of natural wood helped retain more of the original character of the 1926 house.
