If your home has a steep sloping lot, you know how difficult landscaping can be. Terraces and retaining walls offer help but they can be expensive. The best solution is to have plants growing in the ground to hold soil. If the spot is too steep to mow grass on, consider groundcover plants planted through landscape fabric. This fabric holds the soil below and mulch above until the plants take hold and cover the area.
