It’s important to regularly clean and refinish a wood deck to keep it looking good and prevent the wood from weathering or deteriorating over time. Here are some tips to get you started:

  • Clean the deck using either a pressure washer or deck cleaner.
  • Sand any splinters or rough spots and hammer in any nails that are protruding.
  • Apply an exterior stain with a roller or sprayer. Back brush the wet stain so it penetrates deep into the wood.

    Thanks for the great video, Danny! I’ve also found using a deck cleaner to be a much preferable method to pressure washing. For applying the actual stain, here’s a great article on choosing a high-quality deck stain.

    what kind of exterior stain do u use i need some for deck and outdoor wood play set?? i have used thomas and it doesnt work very well ??
