A laundry room can often become cluttered and contain wasted space. To better utilize it, construct shelves and storage units from sheets of medium density fiberboard (MDF).

To make use of empty space near the ceiling, mount a shelf around the room flush with the top of the door and window casings. A storage unit that holds multiple laundry baskets and a hanging rod over the dryer complete the project.
