When planting seeds, spacing is very important. If the seeds are planted to close together they will compete with each other for food and sunlight which will cause some plants to have stunted growth.
To prevent this, mark your shovel handle at 3” increments. This will allow you to quickly and accurately plant seeds at the exact spacing needed for ideal growth.
