Over time the seal on an insulated, double-pane glass window can break, allowing humid air in which can cause the glass between the panes to fog. While you could replace the glass, another option is to hire a service to come to your home to clean between the panes and repair the damage.
The repair process can be less expensive than replacing the glass and reduces waste at landfills. Here’s how it works:

We have fogged double pane glass in several windows around our home. I live in the Los Angeles area. Do you have any referrals who can give me estimates and possibly do the job that I saw on the video?

I live in Chattanooga, TN. My home is on the market and I am hearing comments about the windows. Will you please provide a list of companies which provide this service.
Thank you.

The company that did this procedure, Crystal Clear Window Works hasn’t responded to our recent calls or e-mails, so I’m not sure whether they are still in business or not. Regardless, the “find a dealer” page on their website doesn’t list a dealer in Tennessee, New Jersey, or Colorado. There is one listed in Costa Mesa, California, near Los Angeles. I don’t know of another company providing this service at present.

Hi Doug,
We tried to contact the company that provided this service, Crystal Clear Window Works, on several occasions with no success. Since they were unresponsive, we removed the link to their site. Their website is still up at http://www.crystalclearwindowworks.com should you wish to try to contact them. Good luck with your project!

I need double paned windows defogged in the San Diego area. There used to be a company called “the Window Guru” They are still psoted on the Web but when I call the number, it is a currently “non-working number.” Clhystal Clear is another company with an address in Costa Mesa, i would be interested if the other persons mentioning this company heard back and if they are willing to provide a referral or comments. Thank you.

It looks good on video, but what about the break in the seal that caused the problem in the first place? If it’s still unsealed the problem will recur. Yes? No?

This is just what I was looking for; a way to repair the foggy glass without replacing the glass. I watched the video but it is unclear how long the repair lasts. Could you please provide a company referrals for the Richmond, Virginia area so I can learn more. Thank you.

do you have a company in the detroit down river area if so let me no i have one sliding glass window that need repaired

I am not sure this is good solution. It is critical that windows be well caulked and painted on the exterior to prevent moisture infiltration.
