If your home has wall to wall carpeting, you know it’s necessary to bring in a carpet cleaning machine from time to time to shampoo the entire floor. But for small spot cleaning and to remove odors, all you need is baking soda, a spray bottle with water, and a scrub brush. Here’s how to go about it:

  • Sprinkle the carpet generously with baking soda.
  • Mist the area lightly with hot water in a spray bottle.
  • Scrub the spot with a stiff scrub brush.
  • Allow the spot to dry.
  • Vacuum up any residue.

Watch this video to see how to go about it.
