A snow shovel is an effective tool for removing snow from walks and driveways, but prolonged use can cause back pain and muscle strain. When selecting a snow shovel, look for a lightweight model that has an ergonomically designed handle with a ā€œDā€ grip on the end. A curved handle will allow you to stand more upright to help alleviate any strain.

Other features to consider when choosing a snow shovel are a nonstick scoop and reinforced tip on the blade to reduce wear. Snow shovels, such as the Arctic Blast Ergonomic Snow Shovel from True Temper, include these useful features.

Thanks for the great article on how to choose a snow shovel. Living in Southern California all my life I never needed one. Recently a job change took me to Washington state where we recently had the worst snow storm in 20 years. I was so glad I read the article and got a snow shovel that was ergonomic. It saved my back through the countless hours of shoveling snow from the carport and driveway. Thanks again

This question is not about snow shovels. I need to replace the hot water heater for my two bedroom home. I have a 40 gal. Gas tank with a 6year warranty water heater, which is now leaking and not giving hot water in the rest of the house after and bath has been drawn in one bathroom.
What are the differences in a tankless water heater and a tank?
I live in Chicago is there a baseline on pricing of installation for both and witch one would be better for my home.
