Programmable thermostats are fairly easy to install, but be sure and read and follow the instructions that come with the thermostat. Watch this video to find out more.

Replacing an old thermostat with a modern electronic, setback unit is a great way to save energy. The wires connected to these devices are low voltage control wires, so there’s no risk of shock.

Simply remove the wires from the old unit, and attach them to the new one using the color codes in the instruction manual. For many people, the hardest part is programming the new thermostat.
