To allow access to the great outdoor on the Kuppersmith Project house – while keeping insects and extreme temperatures at bay – retractable, motorized screens from Phantom Screens were installed on the back porch. The screens can be lowered at the touch of a button from the wireless control to keep insects out, and raised to allow access to the backyard.

Each screen rolls up and down on a horizontally mounted, motorized spindle which is recessed inside the framing above each opening. To guide the screen as it’s raised or lowered, metal tracks were installed in the columns on each side.
