Standby Generator Brings Security to the Kuppersmith Project House

  

One of the impressive features of the Kuppersmith Project house is the whole house standby generator from Generac we installed. Since this is an older neighborhood with overhead power lines, it’s more prone to power outages.

If the power to the house goes out, the Nexus Smart Switch™ automatically turns on the natural gas powered generator and switches the house over to the generator. In addition to transferring power, the Smart Switch monitors both the output of the generator and the power load from the house.

If the load becomes too great, the Smart Switch turns off power to one of the high energy using appliances in the house. Then, when the load goes down, the Smart Switch turns the appliance back on. That’s a big step from the old transfer switches people used to have!
