Recessed light fixtures can be used for general lighting, accenting a focal point in a room, or illuminating a specific path such as a hall. Recessed fixtures consist of a housing (or “can”) that mounts to the ceiling joists and contains the wiring connections. Different types of cans are available depending on whether they will be installed in new or existing construction.
Once the housing is in place, the inner trim (or “baffle”) is inserted to give the fixture a finished appearance. Baffles are available in various finishes as well as specialty applications such as accent lighting or adjustable “eyeball” lights which can swivel in any direction.

Is it possible to use recessed light fixtures in mobile homes?

I have recessed lighting in which the baffles have yellowed over time from the heat of the light bulb. Can these be painted with a heat resistent paint??
