Very surprised at your comments on reducing meat comsumption to save water. You said that it takes 5200 gallons of water for only 1# of beef. So, think about not eating meat one day a week to save water, was your comment. How many gallons of water do they use for irrigation systems for those vegetables? Might want to check that out!

Adopting a green lifestyle often means making some changes in your every day habits. But when you start messing with something as wholesome as a hamburger, well, you’ve crossed the line! Or have you? Listen to this: A recent study by the University of California discovered that it took over 52 hundred gallons of water to produce one pound of beef. That means you could trade four hamburgers for a year’s worth of daily showers! Now I’m not suggesting you become a total vegan, but you might consider going meatless one meal a week. Not one day a week, but just one meal. Anyone can make a simple little change like that. Just one meal of only fruits and vegetables makes you a water saver. It won’t mean that you’ll be saving 52 hundred gallons of water right off the bat, but it’s a step in the right direction. And if millions of people could take those steps, then I think you’d have the greenest stampede in recorded history.
