If you have a pet as I do, you know that their safety is very important. Here are some tips on how to safeguard pets in your home:

  • Household Chemicals: Pets can be very sensitive to common household chemicals, such as cleaners, so make sure to keep harmful substances stowed away to prevent injury.
  • Drugs and Medications: Drugs and other medications may look like a treat to your dog or cat, but ingesting them can be deadly. Even a fairly benign drug like aspirin can be fatal to cats.
  • Toxic Plants: Certain plants can be toxic if ingested by pets. Plants that can harm your pet include lilies, holly, and mistletoe.
